As a wife and mom I see more than my fair share of mud, grass-stained pants, stained uniforms, dirty collars and such. More often than not, the stained clothing don’t end up in the laundry until the stains set in. OxiClean comes to the rescue with a line of trusted products to keep clothes stain-free. For this reason, I have been a long-time OxiClean user and fan! Now, they have two new products…
Both contain OxiClean’s “4-in-1 stain fighting power” and are due to hit shelves in mid-February! Why am I telling you? I rec’d a package of both new OxiClean products for a unique opportunity to try them out and share with you all my thoughts.
I was skeptical, as I always am with stain-treating products. My husband’s uniform shirts and the clothes of my children were going to go to war with the new stain treatment and battle it out in the washer to see who will win. OxiClean won!
One example: I had a pair of khaki pants (the 7 year old) that had RED make-up of some sort on them. I washed and dried them twice before I ever rec’d these new products. I used the new gel pretreatment on the stain, washed, POOF it was gone! I’d say the stain had been there a week minimum (mostly likely two).
As for my husband’s work shirts – they were dingy and dirty in spots when clean so I wasn’t sure what to expect after treating them. I will admit, it didn’t get it all out… but it did make a good improvement in how noticeable the stains were – especially on the collar and front pockets of his shirt. I would be willing to bet that the stains would have been removed by OxiCleans new product had they not been so old – we’re talking over a year! You better believe I’ll have the Max Force Gel Stick Pre-Treater on hand for future stains and his new uniform shirts that he’ll get next month!! It worked better than what I was using prior to rec’ing this to review.
I also want to include that I really like the way they made the gel stick. It’s a simple no mess bottle and the gel comes out as you press the bottle down and rub across the stain. The power paks were very easy, as well, as you just put it in the wash then load it with your clothes. Lastly, I really love the fresh clean smell my garments had after washing with it.
SO, my review is a good one. I recommend you give it a try once they hit shelves and see how it works for your stains!
Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of OxiClean and received a sample to facilitate my candid review. I was given a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
