Poems and Connections

Thursday, November 30th, 2006

My Mom sent me this, I thought it was slightly humorous.

Woman’s Poem:
Before I lay me down to sleep,
I pray for a man, who’s not a creep,
One who is handsome, smart and strong,
One who loves to listen long
One who thinks before he speaks,
One who’ll call, not wait for weeks.
I pray he’s gainfully employed,
When I spend his cash, won’t be annoyed.
Pulls out my chair and opens my door,
Massages my back and begs to do more.
Oh! Send me a man who’ll make love to my mind,
Knows what to answer to “how big is my behind?”
I pray that this man will love me to no end,
And always be my very best friend.

Man’s Poem:
I pray for a deaf-mute nymphomaniac with huge boobs,
Who owns a liquor store and a golf course.
This doesn’t rhyme and I don’t give a shit.

On a brighter note I do believe my Comcast connections issues are behind me. They *finally* replaced the blown amp out on the road, yesterday… and I finally got my $100+ credit for my downtime over the past 2+ months… so far, so good - tho it’s just been over 24 hours. Gosh - I’ve had a connection for over 24 hours with NO downtime, it feels SO good. LOL

Site of the day: Barbara. Please visit & comment, even if you don’t go see anyone else today!

Visit the newbies: Dianne, Sanni, Eric, Larry, Jenn, Sunflower. I hope I didn’t forget anyone. My Comcast was out ALL day Friday and I tried to get this all together quickly. Please remember, not everyone posts early. =) Also, do me a favor and let me know if you ran across a site that is no longer playing. Thanks!

Time: Golf takes time. If you don’t take your time and aim, you’ll miss! This is me, Thanksgiving Day. We were in the back yard drivin’ balls into the pond/field. My husband took the photo of me as I was fixin’ to hit a golf ball. It was a family event LOL!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006

I wish everyone a happy and healthy Thanksgiving. I hope everyone has someone special to spend the holiday with. May you all gobble ’til ya wobble! =) While you’re here - tell me something you’re thankful for! =)

I will spend the first part of the day at home with my sweetie and kiddos. Middle of the day with my family and the evening with his family. I’m just now gettin’ over a cold (or cold-like issues, at least) that I acquired over the weekend - while doing yard work in the cold wet weather. I’ve completed all my homework for the next week to get ahead in my classes. Yippie.. It’s good to feel accomplished and be ahead! Now, those Christmas lights await - perhaps we can put them up on the house this weekend, we’ll see…

Enjoy time with family today and know you all have my blessing. Enter His gates with thanksgiving; go into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues to each generation. Psalms 100:4-5

Toodles.
