Wiki Tag

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

Iris tagged me with the Wiki do-hinky. I am sure everyone knows what it is - it’s been around for a long time… I was never tagged with it, till now… So, here it is:

Go to Wikipedia. In the search box, type your birth month and day but not the year. List 3 events, 2 birthdays, 1 death, and 1 holiday/observance (if any) that occurred on your birthday. Then, tag 5 others.

Three Events:
1752 - The Liberty Bell arrives in Philadelphia.
1939 - World War II: Nazi Germany attacks Poland, beginning the war.
1975 - The last original episode of Gunsmoke airs on CBS after a record 20-year run.

Two Birthdays:
1926 - Gene Colan, American comic book artist
1933 - Ann W. Richards, American politician (d. 2006)

One Death:
1159 - Pope Adrian IV

One Observance: (since I’m a baseball fan)
In Major League Baseball, a player who has joined a team’s roster after this date is usually not eligible to participate in post-season play, including the World Series.

Feel free to play if you haven’t ever posted this … if you do, let me know! =)

On on a site note, I added subscribe to comments. I thought maybe some Photo Hunters may like that on Saturday’s - so they could get the comments in their email. I also finally upgraded to 2.1.2 from 2.1. I love WP but they sure do require a lot of upgrades.

… [end of post] …

The oldest camera manufacturing companies started to produce digital cameras to stay in business. History saw people or shops having instant Polaroid cameras. These days you can have your own digital picture captured via a Panasonic digital camera. In fact it is no more a Pentax camera or a Canon camera. There are so many companies producing digital cameras that one can’t even remember their names.

Crocodile Hunter killed =(

while filming an underwater documentary in Queensland, yesterday. Such sad news to hear. Lift up prayers for his wife Terri and their two young children, Bindi Sue and Bob Clarence. Steve Irwin once said “My heart beats for wildlife and wilderness conservation - it’s my mission in life.” so, he passed while doin’ his “mission”. May he rest in peace and his family find peace in his passing.

Last weekish, Xmichra had a quiz about “How will you die” and here are my results:

You scored as Natural Causes. Your death will be by natural causes, though not by any diseaese, because that is another option on this test. You will probably just silently pass away in the night from old age, and people you love won’t realize until the next morning, when you are all purple and cold and icky. So be happy, you won’t be murdered. How Will You Die??
