This old part of Lewisburg, TN still stands, after all these years. P.S. This isn’t where I live but it is where Cosmo came from…

March 9th, 2007 at 10:34 pm
Amazing how some of our past remains, you can look at those buidlings and imagine when people were lined up to shop…
Thanks again for doing this every week, I really enjoy it very much.

Wow, how old are those buildings exactly? I remember when I lived in NH, there were some seriously old houses. It was really amazing they still stood.
Well, after one week of forgetting about photohunt again, mine is up at last. This one was a little easier for me since I spend a lot of time photographing architectural stuff.
March 9th, 2007 at 10:45 pm

Wow, what old buildings! Thanks for hosting and also thanks for stopping over. That is awesome that your family members built your barns. It has a lot of memories then. Have a great weekend.
March 9th, 2007 at 11:49 pm

Mine is up - buildings in historical Frederick, MD
March 9th, 2007 at 11:51 pm
Talk about a picture that tells a story - this one tells of the lives that have lived/worked here. Mine is up also
March 9th, 2007 at 11:52 pm
What a neat picture..Im sure there are stories that go with those
March 10th, 2007 at 12:06 am
This makes me wonder if there are any stores left in Bible Grove, Illinois where my dad grew up. It always makes me a little sad to drive down the backroads and see little towns with deserted grain elevators and boarded up buildings. Ghost towns of the modern age.
I can never make up my mind on these topics…so, mine is up. Worked on it all evening between dogs barking and cats wanting to play. Can’t wait to see all the beautiful pictures.
March 10th, 2007 at 12:14 am
Is that close where you live, TNChick? I am sure it has some history…Hope, when you feel better you will share a little about Lewisburg
Have a blessed Saturday…

I’m up and playing again this week after missing last week!
March 10th, 2007 at 1:43 am
Thats an odd looking building! but very cute.
It so strange to see something like that in the US and have it classed as really old, when parts of the church up the road from me are a 1000 years old.
March 10th, 2007 at 1:43 am
Hehe, quite a contrast to all the magnificent castles and churches and fortresses *grin*
Nice, very nice
March 10th, 2007 at 1:45 am

Love the friendly, broken down quality to the building. I had fun searching for my photo this week from some architecture I shot in Florida.
March 10th, 2007 at 2:33 am
One of those buildings looks like it’s about to fall down. Cool photo!
My photo is posted.

I confess, I´ve never been to Tennesse before, but I´d love to visit it someday. Great picture as usual…
My picture(s) are about the architect Lord Norman Foster and some of his works… like our home - I hope it´s robust enough and doesn´t fall too soon *LOL*
Have a great weekend!

March 10th, 2007 at 5:41 am

What a cool photo. The street angle accentuates the brittle look of the buildings. It makes it appear as though it would only take a puff of wind to make the buildings topple down! I love it! I just got my architecture photo up, and like yours, could have fit in the antiquity category, as well! Blessings!
March 10th, 2007 at 6:26 am
You don’t see many of these small, old, towns anymore that has kept the original buildings. It’s like stepping back in time.
Mine’s up…..
March 10th, 2007 at 6:37 am
LOL! I was wondering if that was your house. I was sitting here thinking, “How can I be nice here?” *grin*
I’m kidding. It’s true. You don’t see these types of buildings very often nowadays. On second thought, this looks like part of the small town my husband grew up in. I think it was called “Hicksville?” *grin*
Have a great weekend!
March 10th, 2007 at 6:40 am
I’m glad the town is saving those old historical buildings. Certainly is interesting to find out their history.
I have 3 photo’s for today.

Wow! That area has so much character! I wish I lived in an area that had that much depth but alas I am adrift in a sea of cloned suburban “Cape Cods” that aren’t anywhere near an ocean.
March 10th, 2007 at 6:51 am
Wow, this looks like the small town we live in. Lovely old buildings. Thanks for the peek at your roots.
March 10th, 2007 at 7:04 am
