Now, I’ve never caused an accident but I’ve been involved in two. First one was in 1994. A MACK truck rear-ended me. I was sittin’ still and he was traveling 55pmph. The 2nd one was in 2000 in San Diego. I was driving my Accord and was hit head on by some drugged lady who ran a red light. She was going 55mph, in a big ‘ole hooptie 69 Caddie, when she hit me and I was going maybe 5mph (just took off from the light). Here is the result. My broken and totaled Accord:

    Ah, I’m out two weeks in a row, I had a red post all ready to go and last week I had nothing. I have nothing antique either, might have to give up photo hunting :(.

    I really have to wonder if you were ok in that accident or what!

    Of course, I remember my friend who rolled his ford probe 2 times and walked away with no injuries at all. That’s crazy!

    I put mine up earlier, but it won’t show until midnight. :P

    *OUCH* That´s what I call BROKEN! I hope you were alright?!
    We´ve had a car-accident on the freeway this week. The driver who hit us tried to abscend, but he got caught. I try to tell myself not to worry about anythings as long as nobody gets hurt… your Accord looks so bad I can´t imagine nothing happened to you?!

    We had a similar car accident with my 17 year old where I rushed to the scene and got there as they were taking her in the ambulance. She was okay…and her car was not yet I couldnt help thinking of something different with the theme broken

    Wow! Hope you made it without injury! Sorry you had the experience, I was hit head on by a drunk motorcyclist. I didn’t drive for ages! Trauma!

    Wow, that looks like quite an accident!!! And the one with the Mack truck sounds scary. My mother was rear-ended by an eighteen wheeler a few years ago but luckily it wasn’t going very fast. It dented her trunk all the way in but she wasn’t hurt at all. Whew.

    Thank God you weren’t totaled. Those are both serious crashes and your poor little Accord is truly broken and batter. Just a car, though . . . and completely replaceable, unlike you.

    Oh, my! I hope you weren’t hurt in either of those accidents… though by the look of this car, I’m amazed that you weren’t seriously injured. When Nyssa was just a baby I was driving home with her in the car seat. It was a small pick up and I couldn’t put her in the back. We were coming up a road with a four way stop ahead and traffic was bad. She suddenly screamed, I glanced at her and back to the road but it was too late and I couldn’t stop or swerve fast enough to keep from hitting the car in front. It was an unmarked police car… actually, the chief of police of Oklahoma City. He was very nice but since it was a city car, all sorts of policemen came. The car wasn’t damaged much, my fender was pushed in and required a wrecker. He didn’t care for the look of the wrecker driver so he had an officer take us home. What a mess!

    Oh, that just breaks your heart! Hope no one was hurt! I almost posted our van that was totaled by our son but I couldn’t stand looking at it and having all the memories come back! Hope it all worked out okay for you!

    Wow! That’s some damage! I’m glad that you weren’t hurt in that accident. I’ve heard that Accords are very good safety wise- maybe that’s why you didn’t get injured?

    Ouch! Car accidents are so scary… My Mr Right was involved in one at 3.3.2003, 3.03 pm! Scary… It was as a miracle that he got away from it with just a concussion - the car was a goner. And so it seems yours was too…

    my heart goes out to ya! my car’s been wrecked too, by a jeepney driver. almost broke my neck because of the whiplash. great pic for the theme. a total “broken” shot!

    I have been involved in two car accidents in my life. Would you believe they both occurred on January 20.. three years apart. Now .. come Jan. 20 I am always a little hesitant to drive. :-).

    Oh dear, I’m just glad you were able to walk away from those accidents!! I had a truck run into the back end of my brand new car…quite a bit of damage. I was more scared of what my husband would say when he found out! lol Hugs xox

    Wow! Definitely broken! It would be a miracle if anything on you didn’t break, too?

    I finally just got my photo up. Sorry it is so late in the day, and my apologies to anyone who visited my blog earlier thinking I had already posted a photo.

    We had an out of town funeral today and the only thing broken I could think of was hearts - hearts broken in grief - and I could not think of a way to tactfully photograph a broken heart.

    We had a fender bender last year, it is such a hassle. I can’t complain because we weren’t hurt at all. Glad that you are OK. My Broken is up!

    oh my…that looks horrible! It’s such a nice car, what a shame but I am glad ur ok…i am always scared when I’m on the road coz u’ll never know something like that might happen and I have two kids with me…I only hope that God will guide & protect us everytime we are on the road…
