Site of the day: East of Oregon. Please, go say hello!
My photo is some caterpillar I found in my yard before Winter hit… it had these clown ball thingies on its back. I thought it was kinda wild.

January 20th, 2007 at 12:06 am
Fantastic caterpillar photo!! When I was a little girl I loved playing with them. I used to try to feed them leaves. Thanks for the kudos on my wild tree today.. this is great fun!

Mine is up too.
January 20th, 2007 at 12:54 am
WILD! I haven’t even seen a caterpillar since I was a little girl - much less like that one! I am almost scared of those clown foo-foo things on its back! OOoooooo
Mine’s up,

January 20th, 2007 at 1:39 am
Well, I was going to leave a comment on your previous post, but that I thought - na! But then I fell asleep on the sofa - hehe…
Anyway - I so enjoy caterpillars. There so many different ones. It amazes me how fast they can move with all those feet. Cool shot, TN.
Have a blessed Saturday and fun at the basketball game.
January 20th, 2007 at 2:00 am
Well done!
I played too!
January 20th, 2007 at 2:42 am

Tricia’s Musings and my husbands site Odd planet also have WILD photos up today too. We seem to have a cat and bird theme going.
Oh, and Tricia’s Musings is turning a year old on Sunday, so I’d love to invite everyone to come to the blog party that starts at midnight. It should be fun fun fun!
Happy Saturday everyone!
January 20th, 2007 at 3:24 am
I’m sorry I also wanted to say that that was a very cool caterpiller. It looks slightly familiar but I’m not sure what it is. I think I’ve heard that when they have colored spikes like that that they might be poisonous, or maybe it’s one of those insects that fake looking like a poisonous one.
Great shot.
January 20th, 2007 at 3:32 am
Love the contrast in colours with the blue and green of the caterpillar. definitely a wild shot!
Mine are up
January 20th, 2007 at 3:56 am
Oh, what a freaky lookin’ caterpillar!!!
January 20th, 2007 at 4:06 am
Ha ha ha! I actually laugh out loud when seeing this one, what a cool fellow! Excellent capture. A punk caterpillar
I wish we had such cool creatures over here too
Well, except from certain persons… *lol*
January 20th, 2007 at 4:12 am
That is a wild caterpillar! And a great photo.
My wild photo is up.
January 20th, 2007 at 4:27 am
That’s definitely a much more colorful caterpillar than we get out here in Connecticut. We usually get the “wooly bears” which are the black and brown ones and depending on how big the black stripe is in the middle, that’s supposed to tell us how bad of a winter we’re going to get. They don’t make for anywhere near as wild of a shot, though!
January 20th, 2007 at 4:35 am
That’s a great shot!
My photo is up too. Please stop by my blog and have a look!!
Have a nice weekend,
Sonny
I will exercise for comments!!
January 20th, 2007 at 4:37 am
I was new last week, so this is my second week.
That caterpillar looks very interesting! I wouldn’t want to come across one.
My wild photo is up.
January 20th, 2007 at 5:22 am
Yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck! And yet, kinda neat, too

I was one of the early birds - but I blame the time zones
January 20th, 2007 at 5:24 am
I wish I could play with that bug!
January 20th, 2007 at 5:32 am
me and caterpillers dont’t get along. while I was studying outside, one fell on me and stung me like crazy. it was SO PAINFUL!!
They might be cute, but they sure aren’t harmless!!
January 20th, 2007 at 5:49 am
Gorgeous caterpillar. Isn’t Mother Nature amazing?
First time, I played.
January 20th, 2007 at 5:51 am
We had a caterpillar come visit us last summer - Mom got some photos of us checking it out! But we were a little suspicious of it!
January 20th, 2007 at 6:27 am
We had several of those woollies too! They are really wild looking with that tuft on their backs! Great choice for today!
My photo is up! Happy Saturday!
January 20th, 2007 at 6:31 am
They say when you see those types of caterpilliars (sp?) that it’s going to be a hard winter.
I posted too.
January 20th, 2007 at 6:33 am
I want to pet that caterpiller. It looks so soft. I have a moose for the “wild” theme.

January 20th, 2007 at 7:03 am
Awesome. The wild creature I photographed and used this week for the theme would find your wild creature cute and playable!!! [In fact, I’ve watched ‘em play and tease caterpillars!]
Happy Saturday TNChick!!
January 20th, 2007 at 7:19 am
What a WILD caterpiller! It does look like a clown too. I have my kids for the wild theme.
January 20th, 2007 at 7:43 am
Hee, hee, I was one of those early birds.
Boy, that guy is wild looking. Every photo I see today reminds me of others I’ve taken and could have used. So many “wild things”.
January 20th, 2007 at 7:44 am
That caterpiller brought back memories of a birthday party I was at that had a caterpiller tree in the backyard. We all went wild and screamed our heads off as the caterpillers fell down onto our heads!
Great choice!
Happy Weekend
Mine’s up too

January 20th, 2007 at 8:36 am

January 20th, 2007 at 9:13 am
A caterpiller with a mohawk? LOL I wonder if he’s rebelling from the rest of his kind? *grin*
Eight day without power! Woohoo!

January 20th, 2007 at 7:16 pm
Oh I love it! How amazing are those blobs and all that fuzz?!
January 20th, 2007 at 7:42 pm
We love your photo. I think I have seen a caterpillar like that one. Do you know what kind it is?
January 20th, 2007 at 7:54 pm
Cool! I don’t think I’ve ever seen one like that before. Great pic!
January 20th, 2007 at 8:59 pm
The catepillar is totally fascinating: but what I am hung up on is its feet and mouth. The mouth seems to be open (to me at least) and the tiny feet must have like suction cups on them. It’s a great and interesting photo!
January 20th, 2007 at 9:13 pm
Thanks for adding me this week. Got my first Photo Hunter photo up…wild hair!
January 21st, 2007 at 3:53 am
Yikes! That’s making me itch. Didn’t participate today. Couldn’t find enough time. Just time to visit.
January 21st, 2007 at 5:56 am
TNChick you were asking about my granddaughters hair and I have a link to how she looked last time I was with her back in December.
http://fruityspirit.com/archives/245
We all made a trip north and she had her first trip in the snow! She is a wild handful and growing fast!
January 21st, 2007 at 9:07 am
That’s a hairy caterpiller, but isn’t he/she cute.
January 21st, 2007 at 10:37 am
That’s a “wild” and wooly critter!
January 21st, 2007 at 5:04 pm
Just a little feedback on my green gourds!
A neighbor grew them,Yes they’re are mine and third, I drill a little hole in them, dry them slowly and later put little peas in them, cork the hole and make instruments out of them!
That’s also what they do in Brazil, only they put a net with little metal things on them - they’re called Cabassas!
Happy weekend!
January 22nd, 2007 at 2:42 pm
Ok - I was really, really late getting mine posted…SORRY.
