Happy Halloween!
Wow, time just keeps on truckin’…
My Dad just turned the big 54 on Friday. Now, Halloween is here. I don’t celebrate Halloween for what it is… but we do take part in all the fun stuff like dressin’ up, rollin’ yards, haunted houses, candy, etc. It’s so much fun.
Tomorrow, I’ll have two little Pirates! We have yet to carve our pumpkins - so tonight after gymnastics, we plan to do that…
Question: Do you give out candy to trick-or-treaters on Halloween? If not, why?
Question: If you have door-to-door trick-or-treaters - about how many do you have?
Hope everyone has a safe fun time. I’m off to edit a peers paper and then to gymnastics practice. I’ll share photos of my little Pirates, soon! Don’t blink - Thanksgiving will be here before ya know it! Then, Christmas, eek!
P.S. I currently have no cable internet. Yes, it’s been SIX freakin’ weeks. They were here yesterday but obviously they didn’t correct the issue(s). They are due to come out again tomorrow… Ho hum. Can anyone name some high speed internet providers? I know I can’t get BellSouth DSL, they don’t service my area. Comcast, is my current-so-called-provider. Who else is there?! I can’t take much more of this…

hope your kids have a wonderful halloween, we are expecting rain in the morning but it should clear for the night.

Hey Chick, Happy Halloween to you and the little ones.
Sorry to hear about your never ending problems with Comcast. We only had problems of getting hooked up when we bought the house and we have had a few problems with service, but the problems have been taken care of in a timely manner. If not, Julie would be all over them like a stink on a fart…

You could get the Sprint or Verizon cards that provide internet… Not sure of the cost involved, but they are supposed to work just about anywhere… I think.

I don’t think we get trick or treaters here, although we used to back in the UK. Some of the kids that came to the door were just after money (you could clearly see that) but often we’d get ‘real’ dressed up halloween kids and that was such a lovely sight.
It’s such a pity that ’some’ kids see Halloween as a way to make money, and not the traditional candy dips. I think the UK is a lot different from the USA though… it’s all grab grab grab in the UK (in my opinion)
Over here it’s more family orientated, people DO dress up and party, and carve pumpkins.. but I can’t honestly remember seeing any trick or treaters around.. hmmm I’ll keep my eyes open this year.

We don’t get trick-or-treaters since our houses are so far apart

Hey TNChick, I hope you get wired up soon.
We always give out candy. We get about 25 - 30 kids, They come in batches, so the doorbell doesn’t ring that often.

Since we don’t have any trick-or-treaters coming to our door - we don’t have any at home. Has been like that for several years now.
I am so sorry to hear that your cable issues are still not resolved - that really stinks. Hope you had a great time last night…Off to the store to get something for supper and than kick back with my babe…Have a fun night tonight…

I would love to do that, but nobody comes, it’s not a use here. But since maybe 2 years, children are going in the shops for that. So every shop owner has his basket of sweets.

I really worry…. Comcast is taking over for Time Warner here soon… and after hearing your troubles… I’m scared.
