Oh, just some movie ratings…
Late nights, my husband and I like to watch movies. We were watching a couple a week but when Summer arrived we put our queue on hold for three months and didn’t watch anything. Now, we’re back to watching them again (well, as of last month). Here is my little ratings, for what they are worth.
Larry The Cable Guy’s Health Inspector - not nearly as good as I expected. I don’t mine the juvenile things or some stupidity - I actually love Larry. However, the movie only gets three of five stars from me.
Final Destination 3 - This was pretty good. I didn’t really like part one, part two rocked. This was better than part one but maybe not as good as part two - I’m not sure. It was a cool flix tho. I gave it four of five stars.
Hostage - First, I love Bruce Willis. I really liked this movie. I gave this four of five stars, too. I’d watch it again, for sure.
Silent Hill - OK, this was just weird. I mean, it was a pretty good show but some of it totally did not make sense to me. I mean, maybe it wasn’t suppose to. Not sure. I do not like the way it ended. I just found it strange. I think it failed to live up to my expectations. I gave this three of five stars.
The Benchwarmers - Well, this was better than I expected. I was not happy with a couple of things (unnecessary language, etc) but overall - decent flix. Not nearly as stupid as I thought. I give it 3.5 stars.
RV - This gave me a giggle or two but I totally didn’t like this DVD. I found it a waste. It did not live up to the expectations I had by viewing the previews/trailer. I wouldn’t recommended it. I give this bad boy only two stars.
The Usual Suspects - Better than expected. I didn’t think I would like it… but I did. I don’t think it’s all that as some said it was but it was worthy of watching. I think it may be worth four stars.
Se7en - Totally loved this movie. I was able to predict the very end as I was watching but that didn’t keep me from watching. Have you saw this, about the seven deadly sins? You should watch it. I think I’ll give it four and a half stars.
United 93 - Pretty good remake. I don’t really know what else to say. I wasn’t really impressed by the movie but if it’s only purpose was to remake the action, it did that. It was more so a documentary type movie - which I don’t normally like. I give this 3 stars. I feel it could have been better.
Failure to Launch - I didn’t know what to expect with this one but it was good. I don’t think the reviews will reflect that - but I didn’t find it a waste to rent. I was able to “get into” it and it kept my interest. I think it should have almost four stars.
Man on Fire - I loved this. I had no idea how to predict the events except for one, about Dakota Fanning. She really is a great kid to watch on TV. I’d recommend this. I give it 5 stars. Not really on all the acting itself but the movie overall.
Stay Alive - Watched this Monday. I thought it was good. Pretty interesting events going on… the effects were pretty cool. Great new flix. I give it a four.
Cellular - We watched this last night. I really did like this. Not sure why I just now rented it but anyway. It wasn’t all uptight and made me laugh during certain events. I don’t think Kim Basinger is that great but she pulled off the ending well, I think. One thing that sucked me into this movie was how soon the first major “event” happened. I’d recommended it. I give this flix 4 stars and a quarter.
Yeah, that is a lot of movies since September. Wow.
Click is due to arrive tomorrow. Lookin’ forward to that!! Have you watched it? Was it really good?! An American Haunting and Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties will be after that.
Toddles, gotta go pick up my daughter.

Hey, girl - some movies I have watch too from your list. I had to
what you said about Silent Hill - I don’t like all this gory stuff, but watch it with my Sweetheart. The end just totally made no sense at all. So, they went through all this stuff and were….(not going to say it, maybe someone has not seen it yet). Se7en - we bought that for my Sweetheart - but I think we have than in the collection for at least a year…It is with Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, Gweneth (forgot her last name) and Kevin Spacey - right?
Hostage rocked in my eyes too - I would give it a 4.95 stars.
Can’t say too much about the other movies though…
How cold is it that your are “burr” cold…

I loved Click. Funny & sad. I went out & bought it after watching it & I never buy movies.
Larry the cable guy was horrid, mind you I do not find him funny at all. My hubby loves him though.
I did like Benchwarmers..gave me a good laugh. Loved the story behind it too re: bullying.

I’ve seen most of the flicks on your list except Silent Hill, it’s on my to see list.
Just watched “Click” again for the third time!!!! I LOVE this movie!!!! I got it from Netflix the other day, though I had seen it at the theater when it came out. I’m buying it, it is that good! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! Let me know what you thought about it after you watched it. Ok?

Loved The Usual Suspects and Seven. Guess I have a dark side.
I haven’t been able to watch Man on Fire. I read the book and it’s way more tragic than the movie (I hear) and even though I know that, I still haven’t watched it.
My husband loves Click, I walked in when he was turning himself green and pretending to be the Hulk. Good stuff.

I can’t wait for Click! It looks sooo funny doesn’t it? And Adam Sandler…gotta love him too!
Man on Fire is one of my all time favorites. I know there is alot of violence, however, I just loved the roll Denzel played..and the little girl…well she stole my heart! Total 5 stars to me, too!
I liked Cellular too…but some of the others I haven’t caught yet. It looks to be a long winter, so I’m sure I’ll have some time here. I’ll have to refer back to your list! =)

Hey TN
Pretty good list you have there, I’ve seen a few of them. I haven’t seen Click, haven’t even heard of it actually so I guess I’ll Google it to see what it’s about.
Anyway, Happy Friday and have a great weekend.
