Interactive Q #13 [Gifts]
What do you buy a guy who don’t really need anything (or has most all of what he needs/wants)? Ideal things excluding gift certificates and money.
Note: There are things he wants that I can’t afford at this time. For example, a new dirtbike. I’d like to get something he’d really like or something to really make him smile. I’m just not sure what. I recently bought him a new necklace, he recently got a new wedding band. Doesn’t need a new watch. He isn’t into the computer. Works all the time and doesn’t have a lot of play/free time to do something as his only off day is Sundays. Tho, he did request off for our anniversary. So, anyone have any super duper ideas to pass along? Please, say yes. =)

A gift certificate for a massage. Any hard working man would appreciate an hour of being pampered.

I know this is quirky, but you can do something slightly less expencive in the theme of how many years you have been together. like for example:
me and mark will have been married 7yrs this year. So i would get a sitter over night *wink* and make a seven item meal (not course, items), with seven flowers in a vase, with a card that had seven lipstick kisses, and a side little after dinner tray with seven chocolates, a bottle of sparkling wine (they have non alcoholic with .7% i think) and maybe a little “adult” fun containing seven build up playing. You know?
anyways, it’s inexpencive, memorable, fun, and will definately put a smile on his face

xmichra has a good idea. that’s really nice, I kinda like that. a massage is always a winner too.
Does he already have a dirtbike? because if he did, then I would look at accesories for the bike. usually you can get some great stuff for a decent price that won’t break the bank.

I have that problem with my hubby all the time!

Massage was my first thought…..although I was thinking you could give him a coupon for a home massage that would never expire;-)

Any thrill seeking stuff….bungee jumping, parachuting, rock climbing classes…paintball party or laser tag party with his buds. Horseback picnic for two late some afternoon/evening. Get his car/truck detailed to the max. Fulfill a sexual fantasy. Do one of his most hated chores for him for a week or a month.

I was thinking massage too, only given by you, his love. Other than that, I’m so not good at this stuff. I’m trying to think of the one thing my honey got from me as a gift that he really enjoyed, and it was satellite stereo for his truck. He’s so into music and I’m always burning him new CD’s to listen to, and this was a gift he really didn’t need, but loves so much!
Oh, one more thing was tickets to a comedy dinner theater…my guys loves comedy and we never get out to do that sort of thing.
~~hugs~~

Well, the best ideas are already writtne by Xmirca and Suzy. A wonderful evening with the two of you and a personal massage by you. Get a sitter for the day, especially since he is already taken the day off. Go some place you both really enjoy and than just spend the time at home romancing each other :smile.
Have a blessed day.

Power tools! You can NEVER go wrong with power tools. Even if the guy isn’t handy… even if they just sit in the garage gathering dust… He will feel better just having them.

Well as intimate as the two of you are, I would suggest multiple “coupons” he could cash in for - you know - private time, only make each one something you haven’t done before. Places, spaces, things - you know. Get creative, maybe one for each month - “meet me here on Tuesday, September whatever at 6:30pm…” for something saucy and intimate.

Meat!
LOL
Seriously, buy a r-e-a-l-l-y nice steak, or several steaks if you have a deep freeze.
Men love meat. ‘Nuff said.

Gifts my hubby has enjoyed are new yard or shop tools! I got him a handy carry bucket and apron for his shop and work around the house.
Magazine subscriptions, great from the kids! Hubby loves Readers Digest and Consumer Reports!
Massage didn’t work for my hubby and I ended up using his cerficate!

A babysitter, an amazing meal, a great massage, and you probably with very little on. :o) Yep, men are that simple, it’s a good thing.
How about a goodie bag of all his favorite treats too?

Massage is cool, and fun; however, power tools rock. My first thought was the whole chores idea, but I think the bike or vehicle accessories is better.
The true answer is simple, with a dynamite woman as yourself as his wife, I think that is the best gift of all; also, I am certain he will agree.

Not really enough data to say what your husband might like, so I’ll just give a few general suggestions. Sounds like he works a lot, is there something you could get him that would make his work easier or more pleasant? Does he like to experience things? One of the most interesting gifts I ever got was an opportunity to watch a Late Model auto race from the pits of a friends race team. Does he collect anything that you could add to? Does he have a really nice pocket knife? Is he in to street bikes? Rent him a Harley for a day. What are his hobbies? Does he want or need anything that would relate? What kind of toys does he play with in his spare time?

Hmm difficult one. I have the same problem, and all I get is “well, I don’t really need anything”
I usually end up buying him jeans and/or shirts, oh and a bag of his favorite candy :=)
