Follow me to the store…
This is where I live - what I see on a daily basis - how ’bout a short (leave out a lot) tour? All photos taken by me while drivin’ to the store, Saturday.
First, a line of hay bails. Then, going down the road… Fun stuff, huh?
Oh, lookie what we’re coming up on… an old barn and silo. Not a bad shot for drivin’ about 45mph, eh? Then, a tobacco barn - I believe the ivy will take it over, completely. They still hang and smoke tobacco in there - perhaps the vine is holdin’ up the barn.
Next, I see in the distance a heard of white cows! Ghost cows is what we use to call them when drunk (hehe). Then, a couple of baby bulls who looked at the camera so well - then turned as I snapped. Darn them…
Sadly, we have roadkill along the way today… Poor fella. Then, we see the elk farm. Yeah, these fellas came out blurry as I didn’t get a good focus while drivin’….
Also, look at the new baby and her Mama. On the way back to the house - it started drizzlin… I didn’t mind the bugs on my windshield until that point - then it smeared and I can’t stand that. M u s t … w a s h … w i n d s h i e l d!
… and there you go. Have fun? My lovely country life in TN. I love it… if only the beach were here - it’d be perfect! Well, minus little Chip (or was it Dale?) in the road.

You are so much fun . Thank you for this great tour. It does look great where you live. All green and peaceful. Not like braun and hecitc like here in the Valley. Miss the beach myself.
Have a blessed Sunday.

I am sooo envious!!! What beautiful scenery to see every day! I don’t get to see stuff like that here in the big city:(

Not far from a trek down Memory Lane (rural Iowa isn’t terribly different from the part of rural TN you showed us here).
I’d reciprocate with a photo array of my drive to work, but (a) it isn’t a wise route to shoot while driving (b) I still use a Jurassic-era 35mm with film (f-i-l-m; a substance the images are transferred onto with exposure, and then developed in a really gnarly liquid/chemical solution, taking some time from shoot to result..very 20th Century LOL) and (c) I’d have to show it a few at a time (we’re talking a mountain canyon totalling nearly 30 miles, one-way).

Reply from TNChick: hehe - I did leave out a lot - as it’s mostly just open land, farms, etc. The drive I took was only about 10-15 minutes away.

Awwww … poor Chip. It almost made me cry. (It probably would have if I wasn’t dealing with one that likes hanging out under my front porch and wants to get into the house whenever to door is open.)
Thanks for the tour.

Reply from TNChick: Yes, it was sad. We see a lot of racoon, skunk, opossum, fox, cats, dogs, etc.. hit. Always sad.

You’re so fun!
That was a great little tour. It looks alot like East Texas… just add some more pine trees in the mix. Poor Dale, though! Awww!
Hope you had a great weekend, girlie!

My word… what a stunning place to live!

What gorgeous scenery to be living so close to, it’s a little like that here though but without the roadkill. Or at least I don’t see roadkill that often, perhaps they clear the lanes before I venture out..
Love the ivy clad barn, thnx for sharing.

Wow. How many minutes does the drive take from your house to the store? It is indeed very beautiful, but I still cannot imagine myself living in the country. But if it works for you then why not?
I am also curious, do you know how long the drive is from your place to the nearest airport? And what is the nearest airport? I am guessing Nashville, TN? Correct me if I am wrong.

Reply from TNChick: Where I was going that day was about a 15 minute drive. Nashville (BNA) Airport is the major airport and it’s about 45 minutes from my house. You flyin’ in for a visit?!

Cool pictures!

On which side of Nashville are you? That scenery look alot like where I’m from, especially the tobacco barn. I live in Paris, which is about 2 hours West of Nashville. I absolutely love going out for a drive in the country. It renews my faith in God and life.

Oh man! You make me want to go home! I am in June. We’re going to visit my parents in Dyersburg.

That is a cool drive! I was going to take one from our house to marks parents house… but I got to talking about hockey and forgot all about it! Ah well, next time!
