About Saturday…
Between doing my school work, visiting other photo hunters and being lazy… I did manage to capture some of my day in photos. We had some play time while waitin’ on Dad (my husband) to come home… then, we planted the garden. Most people call flowers a garden - but I don’t - those are just flower beds to me (LOL). A garden to me is an area where you plant food. So, that’s what I mean by garden. Anyway… here are some photos from my Saturday. All thumbnails open in a new window.
My kids playing on the trampoline - got them both “in-air”
They were playing “canon-ball”. Then, she wanted to start doin’ some flips and the boy went to jump around on his scooter. He always wants me to capture action shots. hehe
Once the hubby got in we went to work on the garden. He tilled it up and then the kids wanted to help, too. We planted several different types of tomatoes (including cherry/grape tomatoes Mmm), jalapenos, banana peppers, cucumbers, squash, some parsley… and I’m not sure what else. We have room for a little more so may go get some other things to add. Wish it well in growing, would ya.
The second photo (below) is the finished product once we were done. We use tobacco sticks for the tomatoes (most country folk do that LOL) and went ahead and staked them to keep the dog and kids from hurtin’ the plants. Lastly, for those who love flowers… I captured a yellow rose bud from the rose bush beside the house and also a purple iris that is growin’ out front.
Saturday ends with watchin’ Hostel. Our Sunday will likely be laid back. I know the husband would appreciate some rest. We’re suppose to go look at a hot tub for the back porch. Hope everyone has had a fantastic weekend.

Love all of your flowers! (actually your whole yard) And how cool about planting your own garden! Hubby was just commenting about how he’d love some home-grown tomatoes & how we need a garden next year.
I LOVE the pic of Little TNC holding the cucumber/squash and helping out in the garden! She’s a doll and getting so big!!

Excellent way to spend a saturday day!! In the shot with your boy jumping with the scooter.. do you guys do that on purpose to the grass?? Is that a special grass along the sidewalk?? I have never seen grass that long, it’s cool.

What a busy Saturday, and I love the safety of the trampoline too, I don’t think I’ve ever seen netting around them. I had a look through your photos and the yellow rose caught my eye, superb
Hope you Sunday is just as enjoyable

Man I remember when I could have a garden that big and it requird tilling. **memories**..lol Now we can not till because of gas lines and you would hit water also. SOOOO we have to have raised beds for everything. It is such a pain in the butt , that is why we have not built another yet. I was not able …now that my surgery is out of the way maybe we can this year… I have one of my tomatoes getting some color and is about to be picked .. I can NOT wait. I LOVE home grown tomatoes.. any veggie tastes better home grown though doesn’t it ?
Your flowers are also beautiful…. Glad to see you had a great family weekend

Oh i’m so jealous of your awesome garden! That looks beautiful

Wow! Your yard looks amazingly huge and lush! I had a veggie garden…once. I royally suck at it. So much work. The ground turned to cement and the squirrels ate everything! What do you do with all the crop? Do you preserve it? Sell it? Can you eat it before it spoils?
Oh, and I would love a tramp for the kids to jump on. They just never get boring.
Hope your Sunday was restful.

Yum grape tomatoes. I tried tomatoes once, they are a lot of work! I stick with flowers now, much more forgiving.
Your little girl is a doll!

It looks like your kiddos had a fantastic time this weekend. Good luck with all your planting. I wish I had a garden so I could plant veggies and know they don’t have pesticides and other bad for you things all over them.
