Photos from Yesterday
Our bushes were getting huge and growing very fast. I decided I better get them trimmed back before they grew too big for me to trim. Here is one bush - before and after (actually the after is during). I trimmed a lot - I’m my hands are a bit sore this morning from the trigger, I suppose. Thank goodness it wasn’t done manually.
While I was trimming. The husband took a few snapshots of me.
There is a lot more - click finish reading below to finish this post…
After trimming the above bushes, I started trimming a smaller bush by the driveway. I was mostly done and in the middle, after I cut most of the bush back, I found a nest! I peeked in, there were four Mockingbird eggs in there. I couldn’t cut down her nest, so I left the part it was sitting at. My bush may look silly but atleast the nest is safe. Had I realized there was eggs in the bush I wouldn’t have trimmed it so short. The second photo you’ll see the Mama Mockingbird did come back and perch on her nest. Once she moved, I took some longer branches and covered it for her, for some protection. Once the babies move out, I’ll cut it to match.
Next is just a 7pm countryside sunset. Oh… and a cool lookin’ caterpillar my daughter found. Check him out.
My children love checkin’ out nature and critters. They were all into this caterpillar. My son was telling me what type he was, what it did, what he ate, etc.
We ended the day with some go kart riding. I was messing with my camera settings on these to get the best photos - most were blurred. I finally used the action/sport setting on the last one, of my son. It turned out pretty well. His face cracks me up.
Lastly, something about a wheel barrel makes me kids enjoy sittin’ in them - not sure what.

If you missed it, there is a video clip posted below.

Aww the mocking bird nest! We had a birds nest in our garden last year, and we saw the eggs too. Problem was, the bush where they were was ant infested so it had to come down as soon as the summer was over.
Oh and please update your link to my new blog
