This is an old photo of me and my horse, Sally. I miss horseback ridin’ with her. She loved it when I would give her sugar cubes and watermelon! She died of old age and my Dad buried her on our farm. (Click to enlarge)

That’s a lovely photo - we used to have lots of horses, both on the farm and when we lived by the racecourse. I love them, but they give me hayfever!

Oh I love horses, I’ve had a few in my life (still wanting more). I thought of putting up one of my old horsey pics, but I wasn’t ‘that’ young on the pic.

My horse was called Lucky. She was so gentle, I miss her. Great photo TNC! I’m really enjoying the Saturday blog more than any I have joined. The fun involved, hunting for the right one to post, and then viewing all the diverse ones and reading the captions……just great! Thanks for coming up with this! MY OLD is published.
Some suggestions for upcoming themes?:—-how ’bout family - military - soft or fluffy - sweets - toys - mirror - glass - funny - cold or icy - windows - then holiday themes such as grandparents day in september - father’s day - halloween - christmas - new years - or, remembering sept 11 with a tribute picture

I love horses! And I had one when I was growing up too…her name was Judy but I’m not sure what happened to her. I’d love to have one now. *s*

What an adorable picture. It is such a classic.
I have a picture of my mom from the early 30’s in exactly the same pose. Somethings just never change! Thank you for sharing that - it brought back great memories.

I used to really love horses as a child. I always wanted to have one and ride it all the time. You’re so lucky.
My SPH is up. BUT my server is having problems hit “REFRESH” or “RELOAD” a few times and it will come up. SO SORRY.

That is so cute! My daughter loves horses and WAS taking lessons for Barrel Riding, until her instructor sold “her” horse. We haven’t been able to find another locally … yet. But we keep searching! Of course, she wants us to BUY a horse … and build a barn… and KEEP a horse… but WE (hubby and I) are not ready for that! Anyway… enough of us! I LOVE your “old”!!! And you don’t often hear of horses dying naturally of old age… that is cool that she could do that — and that your dad burried her. That is sweet.
