Sharin’ some reviews….
Oh man, the weather sure has turned nice here in middle TN! 80’s and sun - it’s bliss. 89 for today… Due to the lovely weather, I’ve spent less time online as I’ve been outside enjoying life. I noticed yesterday I went over the 6,000 comment mark. Y’all rock, really - you do! Thanks for all you contribute here. Also… new poll is up on the sidebar. Looks as if dark chocolate was the winner of the chocolate poll and I was the only one who voted “I don’t like chocolate”. Imagine that. Thought I’d post my reviews so here they are…
Movies we’ve watched this past month:
Saw 2 (2005) - Interesting twist in the story line but Saw was much better than Saw 2. It was good but not good enough, I was disappointed a bit or perhaps my expectations were just too high. Lesson here, it pays to sit and listen. I rate it 3 of 5 stars.
Just Like Heaven (2005) This was a really good movie - better than I expected, actually. I thought it was unique, had a good story line and some good effects. Some of it made me think “yeah right” but it certainly didn’t take away from the movie. I would guess it’s considered a chick flix - but my husband really liked it, too. Somethings are just meant to be, you’ll see. I rate it 4 of 5 stars.
Sky High (2005) This is a kid movie but good enough for a 30 something couple. The husband and I watched it without the kids (they watched it after us, on another day). I was actually entertained and don’t consider this film just for the young ones. Disney did a great job. It did exceed my expectations (they weren’t too high as I totally wasn’t interested until I watched it). I thought the message the kid (Wil) did a great job with the story line on sidekicks and heroes - which is a lesson many should learn. 3.5 stars, maybe 4.
Walk The Line (2005) I really wanted to see this film. I really liked it, a lot but it didn’t exceed my expectations. While this movie has a focus more on he and June and left out some great detail, I still think it was worth watching. I think the the role of Johnny was well played by Phoenix and Witherspoon didn’t do too shabby as June. More music and life information would have made it better as Johnny Cash has more to tell than this movies tells. 4 stars.
Identity (2003) This is a good thriller that may keep you guessing. I had the killer pinned at one point but the husband didn’t think I was correct so I kept tryin’ to pin the killin’ on someone else and truth be known, I was right. I didn’t think the movie had enough details tho… and it definitely ended as if part two would be right behind it but I don’t think there is a part two and it’s 3 years later… it can get confusing and definitely needed something else to help clarify things but overall without picking it apart, I liked it a lot and give it a weak 4 stars.
Jarhead (2005) - I somehow expected it to be really good… I was wrong. The movie itself was good at times and I didn’t find it to be a total waste but then it just ended and it seems as if nothing really happened. The acting and whatnot was good, the storyline was there but I felt there should have been more. I could have done without the vomit. The husband agrees - we compared real military to the movie while watching it (well, mostly him, as he was the active duty one)… 3 of 5 stars.
Flightplan (2005) - Really good. It wasn’t much of a thriller, actually I wouldn’t consider it a thriller at all. I never suspected the girl dead… it lacked some detail and the suspense level was low but even with all that and a few bad actors I like this. Might make you think twice. I give this 3.5 stars.
That’s all for now… anyone majorly agree or disagree with me?

Thanks! Happy Easter to you too! I also sae Just Like Heaven and really enjoyed it. I took quit the ribbing about it being a chick flick, but that’s okay, because I am a chick! LOL I saw Saw and hated it, so I haven’t ventured near Saw 2.

I, too, did not like Jarhead; as my father and his best friend (both prior military) hated it.
Just watched Ice Age 2, it was good with the same characters and some new ones added in. I think most children, if they liked number one, will like this one.
Happy Easter

Blissfully sitting in front of the tv watching movies, or anything else for that matter hasn’t really happened ’round here in a while! In AZ we really don’t have many months…er…weeks of brilliantly beautiful weather and since it has been that way as of late, we’ve been in the pool, on the patio, generally out of doors as much as possible for as long as possible during each day.

Hi, I see you like to review movies, I’m not any expert, but I’m having a Movie Marathon going on at my Blog (i’m making drawings as a celebration of movies) If one of these days you have the time drop by and leave a suggestion for a movie to be rendered in a drawing. I’ll be glad to make drawings for the people who really likes movies. C’ya around

I’ve seen “Just Like Heaven”…I liked it. It was cute. I wouldn’t buy it, but I’ll probably rent it again.
“Walk The Line” was great. I love hearing my honey’s voice….I mean Joaquin’s voice.
I *heart* him!
“Identity” was OK. Kinda weird, but it was ‘watchable’.

Flightplan
Didn’t really care for this one. The first half worked for me, but the second half just got really silly. It did reminded me of the movie “The Forgotten”.
Identity (2003)
I agree with you, liked this one.
Just dropping through.

Dark Chocolate - yikes…don’t like it at all. We had in the low 90’s here today…
I like “Walk the Line” a lot, but then again, I like Johnny Cash’s music . Flightplan was okay too. Didn’t see all the other ones you mentioned tho.

HAPPY EASTER!
Anyway, among those you’ve mention, I have only watched Sky High, Just Like Heaven and Saw 2.
I don’t like sky high that much. Saw 2? Well, me and my friends were a bit scared whenever there’s a chasing scene. It’s like we’re the ones who are about to be killed.
Haha.. ;p
Have a nice day! *hugs*

Jarhead is so-so, I am currently watching it- not the best movie, but Jamie Fox is good.
