Wreaths & Rocky Road

Last installment of candy recipes. We have to visit with my in-laws tonight. They are having their Christmas, starting at 5pm. The husband won’t even be home from work at that time so we’ll get there when we get there. That may even be as late as 7-8! Eek. I look at it this way: if they didn’t want us to be late they should have made more effort to set a day and time he/we could attend (considering we told them, many times, his work hours and included Christmas Eve/Day was reserved already). they appeared to be more concerned with his sisters’ schedule.

No Bake Rocky Road Candy
Melt:
12 oz. chocolate chips
1 can Eagle brand milk
2 T. margarine
Pour over:
2 cups peanuts
10 ½ oz. minature marshmallows
Pour into 9X13 pan. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Cut into squares and store at room temperature. Induldge!

Next:

Christmas Wreaths
1 c. sugar
1 c. white syrup
1 c. peanut butter
4 c. corn flakes
Green food coloring [optional to make the flakes (wreath) green]
Cinnamon candies

Boil sugar ‘n syrup. Add peanut butter. Pour cornflakes in a bowl/baking dish, coat with mixture. Shape into round wreaths. Garnish with cinnamon candy.

In reference to your comment on my blog:

I have a Fuji A303. Its 3 years old now but it was a good camera when bought so still has some life in it. It does 3 Megapixels. I would like a new one that can do decent movie clips though, this one does 10fps which is very jerky.

& me just dropping by to wish you a very merry chrismas & a wonderful new year. I’ve been kept ridiculously busy so not had much time to visit, read or comment on other blogs (or even keep mine regularly updated), but hopefully new staff & the return of people currently off sick will mean I don’t have to do 5 people’s work for much longer & stay more curent in my bloglife.
