Military cemeteries are inspiring places. The orderly arrangement of the headstones emphasizes how many have served to keep us free. My In memory is also for one of the many who have served our country in time of war.
We have similar photos of Arlington National Cemetery, and family there. These are places of sorrow and pride, beauty and hope, memories of ones loved and lost.
Our “in memory of” is a family tribute… to Mothers, of course. http://zoolatry.blogspot.com
That’s very humbling. We’ve always been supporters of our military, and now, that we have two young men (grandsons) serving, one in Iraq, it means even more.
Thank you…
~~~Blessings~~~
I just finished mine… glad to see you are back.
These military graveyards are sad, but mostly filled with those we should honor, always… they fought so we might be free.
My memory is here.
Seeing all those gravestones all in a row makes me really sad. Hope all those people are resting in peace.
My take on this week’s theme:-
It’s beautiful! We should all take a minute to remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. Very nice job on this one, my friend.
My take on this week’s theme is a bit different.
Photos of graveyards always look so peaceful—as they should, I guess but it’s heartbreaking too
