A chipped sand dollar from San Deigo. I use to collect them, all the time, when I lived there. Often times, they were chipped… tho I did find many that were not.

Oh, I love sand dollars! I don’t find them much here in northeast Florida. =( Sad. I do have one from about 10 years ago. I visited Panama City with my dad and he bought me one that had a dolphin jumping out of the water at sunset airbrushed on it. I still love it. I particularly love the little “doves” inside of them though. So cool.
Anyway, mine’s predictable – a chipped plate. My only other idea was to paint my nails, since they always chip within hours, but I just didn’t feel like it.
What a great photo! I used to find sand dollar’s a lot when I was younger and we were visiting my grandparent’s in Ingelside. What great memories those are.
