Help me pick…
I want to enter my daughter in a photo contest… but not sure what type photo is best and what-not. The rule is that is cannot be professional and must be taken recently. So… I’ve picked out two favorites that I have taken of her. Which do you like best and/or do you think would be best to enter in a contest? I hope you can see them both – if not, someone let me know… Thank you!!

my vote is for the 2nd one, i like how the green frames her and her in her blue. less distracting that the angles/framing int he other.

I like them both and don’t think you could go wrong with either one. I like the first the best. There is something so natural and spontaneous about it. The second one is great too but for some reason doesn’t strike me as quite as original as the first. However, I’m clearly in the minority so far and I really think either one would be great.

Both great but I do prefer the 2nd one.. lovely colours and it is a grand summer pic .. she’s real cute in it.. agree with ‘califmom’ above – might be good to crop it a bit.

They’re both good, but I like the first photo of your daughter best. Her expression is priceless!

I like the second photo, but either would be a winner.

Second photo. I can’t see the enlarged versions though (don’t have permission) but that looks really great with the grass background. The first one would have needed the background to have been blurred really.

Uh Oh… that´s a tough decision – your daughter is too adorable. I can´t enlarge the photos (My FlickR says they are marked private) to have a closer look, so I´m going to decide by first view: Although I absolutely adore your daughter´s facial expression in the 1st photo I´d pick the second one (bottom photo) b/c of the colors and the relaxed position. I love the way the blue clothes stand out from the green grass and the cute smile on your daughter´s face, showing the sweet tooth space – the photo reminds me of “finally summer”.
Good luck on the contest – I bet you´ll make it anyway, no matter which photo you´ll pick.

I tried clicking to big them – but it tells me they are private. I think the bottom one is going to be the one. The TOP one IS adorable – but the background is too busy. The bottom one is just a really great overall picture — color, composition, and FUN! Very cute!

I like the second one best too it shows your daughter off best and her smile is lovely. The background in the first one is a little bit distracting.

I vote for the second pic too. I love the colors, the relaxed pose and you can still see the missing tooth
