A blog post.

I haven’t blogged much in the past two years- minus the wonderful PhotoHunt! Other than a random note here and there and re: my hound when she went MIA. It feels odd to sit here and type out my thoughts since it isn’t out of habit like it was when I actually blogged everyday! Yes, I use to be a daily blogger. Heh.

I do want to inform fellow Nashvillians of an upcoming photo event. So, listen up!

This is Wikipedia Takes Nashville, a different sort of photo scavenger hunt going on this month in Nashville. Ryan K. is organizing Wikipedia Takes Nashville, which will be a day long event where teams run around Nashville taking digital photos of all the places on the Goals list. The resulting photos will then be used to illustrate the Wikipedia articles on those places. If you’re in the area and you are not doing anything that weekend, you should join in! It will be Saturday, May 24th from noon until 8 PM. Everyone checks in at a starting point (Parthenon). Sounds fun, eh? If you take part - let me know! =)

Now, the more boring stuff. Heh.

First, I can’t believe that after 108 weeks in a row, I slipped and forgot to set my PH auto-post up this past Saturday. Yikes.

Second, Zoey has adjusted well to being back home after her city journey. It was tough at first - she didn’t want to be left alone and I totally understood why. She is a bit more alert than she use to be and seems to have picked up the habit of wanting to chase after birds. She never did that before. Her wound has healed up. You can still see it, tho. She and Nixie had to readjust… mostly the hound, but they seem to be buddies, again. I’m glad. They were close, to be cat and dog. They slept together and kept each other good company… so I’m glad they are reacquainted now.

Tomorrow is my little girls sixth birthday. We celebrated yesterday, Sunday.

Remember Punkin? Her birthday is the 18th - she would be turning 13! Sadly, she passed in January ‘07. My sweet Punky - I miss her dearly, every day.

My son won a grand prize in an art contest sponsored by the local TVA in celebration for Earth Day. His grand prize was a $150 bicycle… He got to pick it out and got himself a snazzy new Mongoose freestyle bike. I’m so stinkin’ proud of him. He also won a blue ribbon for a separate art do-hinky where they displayed his art in the local community college.

My kids are almost out of school for the year. The youngest graduates Kindergarten on May 15. WOW. May 21 is the last day for school. I can’t believe it. That just doesn’t seem right. Ha.

I removed the commentluv plugin - it didn’t appear to be accurate all the time. Instead, I uploaded the WP Ajax Edit Comments pluging - this enables you to edit your comment. This will be great for those of you who comment and realize your URL was wrong. Now, you can change it instead of commenting multiple times! Yay! Seems better, I think - I hope it works well. If you happen to encounter an error - do let me know. Thx.

Life is good - a bit busy at times and when it isn’t busy I’m super lazy. Today would be one of those lazy days.

Toodles.

I think it’s ok for you to have missed one week. We’ll get over it I think. :P

Sorry to hear about Punkin, it’s always tough. :/

and yeah the commentluv plugin sometimes is a pain. I’m not sure why it acts the way it does. I’m sure he’s still working on a lot of it since not everyone makes their sites the same. :D

I think it is LOVELY to “just here from you”… you should do that a little more often! ;) I know… I don’t know HOW you Mom’s of young ones find time to blog at all! I think back to when mine were little - there is NO way… absolutely NO WAY I would have been able to do this! So I do appreciate you comin’ around and sayin’ hey! That photo hunt sounds fun…

Good to hear ol’ Zoey’s coming around, she reminds me of our childhood beagle Mr. Peabody.

Good to see her home where she belongs.

    Cheers

Hey TN, good to hear you’ll be blogging again, I’ll have to drop by more often. So with that new comment thingy can I come back and tell you it was me instead of commeting a second time too ?

Anyway, good to hear from you again. And wish your daughter happy birthday for me.

Congrats to your son, but don’t we also get to see a pic of that new hot bike??? And his art work?? That’s great about the adjustment and I certainly know about the lack of blogging too..

It’s become such a habbit that we post anyway and just wait for the post here to come up. Cool huh? What would weekends be without SPH?

Congratulations to your son. He must be very good at what he does! Happy birthday to your little girl. Isn’t nice and sad that children grow up far too fast? But isn’t it also great that they’re getting more mature every day? Such is parenthood. Full of contradictions.

It was nice to read about the happenings in your life. It’s nice to know a little more about the person and her weekly pictures.

    Congratulations to your son!

Hi! Over here in Australia, school is only a quarter of the way through. Came in today to see what the next PhotoHunt theme is, and woo hoo! It’s candy!

I have one of my son Alessandro in front of a chocolate store in San Marco in Venice last September - you know the Baci chocolates? The store just sold those, if I remember correctly.

Now, to find the perfect digital scrapbook kit to go with it…

I think that a comment editing thingy will be useful. I posted three times one time.
