Christmas… is SO near!

I’m so glad I’m done with my shopping. Including the dog and cat gifts – hehe. I landed some really good deals – mostly online. I shop Amazon (for the most part). I bought most of my things from there and wow – this year has, by far, been the best when it comes to shoppin’ online with them. Every single package came early. That includes one that was on backorder and not guaranteed for Christmas – it came like 2 weeks ago. No tax, free 2 day shipping… better than fighting rude people in stores, that’s for sure. I did pick up some things though – like stocking suffers and small items – from my local store.

I don’t shop for a lot of folks – just a friend or two, my folks, hubby’s folks, my brothers kids and my grandma – pretty much (other than my own kids and hubby). I bought Dad a GPS, I can’t say what I bought for my Mom… she may read this (doubtful but possible). My son didn’t want any toys this year (well, other than the Hyper Slide – apparently he’s growing up [10 this month] and wanting more expensive things LOL) and my daughter just wanted more horses and a unicorn, pretty much. I think they’ll both be happy come Christmas morning. My son knows I’m done with shopping and the wait is getting to him. hehe He knows I am Santa – I told him upfront about that. =) I’m tickled that he has no clue what we’ve bought him.

Speaking of him – his birthday is the 26th and I’ve got that covered, too. Whew!

Anyway, what is on your Christmas wish list, if anything? Also, how do you shop? All online, mostly online, very little online or none online? Lastly, do you shop for pets, too?

FYI – I want to win this contest for a $200 GC from TrueJeans. What an awesome prize! If you aren’t entering – wish me to win. If you are – well… I still wanna win LOL!!! I also want to win one of these beautiful tutu’s for my princess daughter!

We did get our Christmas presents (hubby and I) very early this year — say we kinda had Christmas in October – lol…But hubby’s birthday in Jan 1…so I have to think of something by than. I am with you though – I don’t like shopping at the mall or stores – too many people and rude too. So much of our shopping happens online. I am happy with that. Like you said – no tax, no hassle, even if you might have to return it.
Wow – can’t believe that your son is turning 10 in a couple of weeks. Time flies, doesn’t it. Did you know that I know you for almost 3 years — wish though we could meet in person before heaven :) . Maybe it will happen.
    Blessings on your day…

We are odd people living abroad, away from our families and with a 19 yo son, so we don’t do any Christmas shopping…our mutual present (and for our son) is a ski vacation for the holidays, which also covers our anniversary on Jan 2nd, so that’s killing a few birds with one stone, ha! I get small things for husband and son, that’s it. I should add (not only) my local friends are envious of the quiet holidays we spend. Wait: I have to do the grocery shopping and packing for the holidays, that’s holiday stress too!! But I am glad I can avoid the shopping malls.

Well done on finishing! I do about half online, it’s so much easier. I am hoping for some books and DVD’s and some silver earrings that I saw a while ago and pointed out – several times!
We used to buy presents for our dog and he used to get us something too!

I know what a good feeling it is to be done with shopping although I’m not quite there. I shop online for some and usually go to a book store for a lot of gifts. Not necessarily just for the books as I often pick up little treats or toys at some of the larger chain bookstores.

I am almost done. Hubby and I are thinking of sharing a gift since we both want to buy a camera which is expensive but I think I will still get him a token so he has something to open. I just finished buying for others–you see I am the personal shopper of my dad, uncle and grandma–for love of course.

If I didn’t get my cats gifts, they’d get online and complain in their blogs to the whole world ;)

Any idea what to get for my cats Jon and Jess for Christmas? They have been such a help in my PhotoHunt entries. Jon has been kinda playful these few weeks. Christmas moods are sneaking in I guessed. :P Jess on the other hand has bloated up a lot. I wonder whether she will be having little santas and santarinas during Christmas or maybe some cute little new year babies.

Anyway, season’s greetings from Malaysia :)

TN, I just found out that both of our girls were born in December. My girl just had her birthday party last week. Did you plan anything for your girl too? Or may be she is big enough to celebrate her own? :)

Happy Birthday to your girl, ya…
And, all the best for the TrueJeans stuffs. :)

Well, as a school librarian, I did most of the Christmas shopping at our school book fair and at the state school librarians association convention. Can you guess what my 14 grandkids are getting for Christmas? And several of them autographed, as well.

As usual I just want a good book and some other little thing, preferably a new pen light for my key chain as the one I have is just about dead.

I usually get a more than that but I’m happy with just a couple of little items.

I just buy for my wife and of course I have to take the princess out so she can get something for her mom. I took the lad out yesterday so he could buy her something. Of course he’s working now so he paid for it. It’s hard to believe but he’s 19 years old now. He’s living at home and he started a job a couple of months ago. It’s just a contract so he’ll have to get something else soon but he enjoys it and it’s good for him to be working.

Anyway, I’ll drop by again soon, certainly by Christmas.

Take care of yourself and the family TN. :)
