Whew, It’s Scorching!
Man alive is it ever hot! Hot hot hot! …about 105-110 out there all week this week, sheesh.
Bad news: Prayers for my family as my cousin passed away overseas. He was in the Air Force stationed in Germany and deployed to Iraq, 29 years young with a wife and three children. He died after a mission he was on in Africa (sudden illness not in battle). I think they’ll send him home this weekend so I’ll be attending a funeral sometime this upcoming week.
Good news, my eye is 98% well… my mouth is about 95% well and my nose is about 80% well! Woot! It’s been just over 3 weeks and there appears to be an end to this Bells Palsy in sight!
We should have cows on the farm, Thursday. A Brangus (bull), some cows, and some calfs (should that be calves?). I think one of them is expecting so another little calf will be joining us in the near future. My Dad found a fella who had some - so that’s the plan, anyway. I’m moving Cosmo over in another pasture with another pond and barn, likely tonight once my hunny gets home- I hope he adjusts OK to it… as the cows will be where he is now.
Today, I took my daughter to the doctor - she had to get a (vax) shot before school started. She surprised me and didn’t even cry. So stinkin’ proud of her. For a “reward” I told her she could buy something for herself… she choose some Flarp and some frogs!
School starts Monday. Wow. Both my kids will be in school. This will be so new for me - not having my daughter with me all day. She’s so lookin’ forward to it and is extremely excited. I am excited for her, too. Hubby took the day off, Monday, so we could both take her on her first day of school.
My 14th wedding anniversary is coming up this month. Hubby took vacation that week. I’m lookin’ forward to that… the kids will be in school so we’ll just find something to do durin’ the days… we so need that time together. Then, less than a month ’till my birthday - do you know what you’re getting me yet? Heh.
Well… that’s it. Just sittin’ here coolin’ off - till next time.
Toodles.

So glad to hear that you are doing much better. My friend’s son had Bell’s and it took about 8-9 months before he was better. So this is really good news for you. :x)

I’m so sorry to hear about your cousin. My prayers are with you and your family. I’ve been away from the blogosphere for a while and sorry to hear about your Bells Palsy, but glad you are getting relief from it.
I’ll never forget the feeling when my youngest was off to school full-time. It was hard, but I got over it real fast, lol. My two boys are six years apart and I have been a stay-at-home mom for 17 years. Then I got a part-time job in the school system and was still always home when my boys got home. I felt so blessed to be able to do that.
You are pretty busy. Good luck with the cows and everything else.
