Thank You!
for the comments below. While this isn’t life threating – it’s not easy to deal and cope with. I am just taking it one day at a time. It truly saddens me but I’m tryin’ to see the bright side. I believe all happens for a reason and tho I don’t understand why, I do my best to not question it. I just pray all will turn out OK and I’ll be back to myself, soon. The most difficult to deal with is my eye. It will not blink itself and it stings/hurts/throbs/etc. It’s annoying as heck. I know some may not see this as an issue (Bells Palsy) but I do… and I appreciate all those who commented saying they knew folks who overcame. The odds are good for me… so I smile because of that, even if it is a “half smile” hehe… Yes, I am able to laugh at myself… but it doesn’t stop me from crying because I’m like this. Anyway… from me to you all… big hugs.

I’m off to cuddle with my hunny, who loves me for better or worse, praise Him.
P.S. Keep in mind, I haven’t update the PhotoHunt this week (returned emails, added folks, etc) but will do my best to, as always. I usually try to get it all done by Friday evening, each week. I think I have a lot to add. So, understand… thanks!

Very scary thing you’ve been going through!! Even though it may not be life threatening (and thank God for that) it’s still life altering and stressful for you and your family. I’m keeping you in my prayers and hope that things correct themselves soon.

It is very normal for you to feel upset, frustrated and angry about this situation. My mother had Bell’s palsy and it resolved, so take heart! From what I know about it, it is usually a matter of time and patience (the hard part). We thought she had a stroke because when she awoke in the morning, one side of her face was paralyzed. Like you, the diagnosis was Bell’s palsy with no medical intervention available . . . the dr. said “Wait for it to get better.” It took a few weeks, but she recovered 100% and had no recurrence.
Will be thinking about you and holding you up in prayer, asking that you have the same wonderful outcome!

I have prayed to God that you get a speedy recovery soon. I am glad to know that you are feeling better now. No doubt it will take weeks or months to be fully recovered, HE has his eyes on you for all the good work you have done here. So try to stay positive and get lots of rest. Stress may be partly to be blame for this. I suggest you take a long vacation after this. We will understand. Take care Jamie

Oh geez TN, I was just dropping by to see how you’re doing and read about this for the first time.
I’m so sorry to hear about it and hope you get over it very soon. I’m sure you’ve heard this many times but yes, I too knew someone this happened to. It was an aunt of mine. I honestly can’t remember how long it took but she did indeed recover completely.
My prayers are with you.

I am so sorry to hear this!! I would be scared too if something just HIT ME this fast!! We need to be thankful for what we have because things can happen so quickly as you have found out. Just be positive and do what the doctors tell you to do and I am sure that everything is going to be fine. You have a lot of friends here and advice is going to be coming at you right and left. Take care. Sandy

It saddens me to hear about what happened to you. Don’t worry with your energy and fighting spirit, you’ll be up and about in no time. If it will help you, let me share this with you….A neighbor of mine who is already past 60 had Bells Palsy too. It only took 2 months to go back to normal. She was just asked to keep on chewing gum or eat nuts as a therapy. Exercise for mouth muscles. Another neighbor also had Bells Palsy…..and she has recovered too. I don’t see why you won’t You’re even younger than these people. You’re are such a lucky woman to have a hubby like yours. He’s wonderful to care for you.
From the blogsphere, here I am Friday’s Child wishing that you get well soon.

(((hugs))) to you TNChick.
Had Bell’s Palsy on my full-term before I gave birth to my eldest daughter, now 11yo. Doctor gave me meds, mostly full of Vitamin B+. I also had a hot and cold compress on my face several times a week. I put a strip of white medical tape to close my left eyelid when I sleep. I was taught how to massage my face using my fingertips by the occupational therapists in our school to save on having to go to therapy services. I was “back to normal” after a few months, with my smile now curving in the center instead of having a lopsided angle and my eyes opening and closing evenly and at the same time. It was not an easy ordeal but yes, there is hope,
