Happy Fourth!
Happy Independence Day, everyone.
I’m off to downtown Nashville to watch the fireworks over the riverfront. My Dad will be down there workin’ so I’m going super early to sit with him and get good parkin’ while I can. “They” (American Pyrotechnics Association) say Nashville’s fireworks show is the 3rd best in the nation, after NYC and D.C.! It’s super but man alive is it a lot of people (like 100,000+ which I don’t like, at all - I hate crowds). I don’t know who all will be singing but I think Rodney Atkins and Taylor Swift will be there (honestly, I’ve never heard Taylor as I didn’t/don’t watch AI). Anyway, have a safe and happy fourth.

Taylor Hicks? That’s cool. Our fireworks display is lame where we are. Like one firework every 30 seconds. Honestly, the illegal ones the neighbors do are more impressive….but scarily close to my roof!
And we can always count on the soundtrack for our fireworks to include “I’m Proud to be an American.” Every. Single. Year.

We are trying to stay as cool as we can - suppose to top at 112F today, so I don’t think we will make it to fireworks today *sigh*

And our town has the biggest fireworks show west of the Mississippi. It is held on the grounds of the reserve at Fort Vancouver. They light the fireworks on a barge in the Columbia River. We get hundreds of thousands there also. just poppin’ by to see if the photo hunters theme is started yet. Going to put mine up now because i won’t be home later.
