Site of the day & new folks will be announced when I come back. =)

Funky! Show us what you think is funky! Will it be:

  • -relating to music that has an earthy quality reminiscent of the blues.
  • -having an offensive smell; foul.
  • -Frightened; panicky.
  • -characterized by originality and modishness;
  • -stylish and modern in an unconventional way
  • -outlandishly vulgar or eccentric in a humorous or tongue-in-cheek manner

Or something else? Perhaps this could get very interesting! =)

New folks:

New Rules for joining/playing the Photo Hunt
As of today, the blogroll is no longer required. I thought about it and well… it’s just best that way. This way, I don’t have to keep it clean, add folks, remove folks, correct my typos, etc. LOL This way I have less emails asking me “How do I…”, “Can you help me, it’s not working” and “It doesn’t work in FF”… in other words, this makes my life and group management easier. You may remove the blogroll from your site if you have it up… or leave it. I won’t discard of it, yet - it’s still there with 342 sites on it.

PhotoHunt participants just use a link (linked here) on your sidebar. I prefer you to link this button or this button.

I’d like to use tags to replace the blogroll. To use tags you simply insert a line of code directly into your post. I’d like this tag and to get it in your post just copy and paste what you see in the box below This is not required but very appreciated. (remove the title=”(x hits)” part - it is inserted by a plugin I am using, sorry)

I hope you all agree this is best. I will still list all the new players in my weekly post (like this week) if I get an email/comment saying “add me to the newbie list”. =) Ok, I hope you all read that. That’s it. Whew!

    Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!! A GEN-U-INE science project for those of us who homeschool!!! That is totally gross. Of course, with it being as HOT as it is, you could grow a project like that rather rapidly!!!

    That’s nasty… and it’s beyond funky. The initial memories it elicits are NOT good ones, but then as I think about it, others start to surface. My mom was (is) terrible about housekeeping. Summer 1965 - rundown apartment near downtown Houston - no air conditioning - visiting Mom and stepdad on trial basis for summer - Beatles at the Lincoln Hotel - hippies near Buffalo Bayou - 13 years old - first taste of gumbo - first camera - finally broke down and (gag) washed the dishes because no one else would - fire ants! - sirens wailing in the night - Andy and Barny and Aunt Bee while I’m doing the clothes at the washateria - poverty, first hand - downtown bus route 15 cents… FUNKY!

    What a great collection of fur and green stuff and spongy stuff. Thanks for thinking of us.
    Good idea about the blogroll, it will certainly help you cope more easily with being keeper of the site. I copied the html into a draft post on my site and it worked like a charm.
    This was a wonderful idea you had and it has given pleasure to so many people, even though we all probably visit only a small portion of the players. Thanks for keeping it going despite all your health problems. I wish I could give you an award of some kind but instead accept a hearty thanks from me.

    I haven’t gotten a Photo Hunters post up yet, but wanted to ask for everyone’s help. I have to make some difficult choices, picking some photos for entry into the fall fair.     Ewwww what is that? Someones left over lunch? Did it sit in a school locker too long? LOL Yep it’s funky. I bet it smells funky too!

    We found some funky things to post about this week too. Tricia’s Musings has funky flowers, Odd Planet takes a funky look at a tower, and As the Garden Grows has some pretty interesting seed heads.

    I use a plugin on our blogs for tags so there’s always a photohunt tags in our posts. :)

    Everytime I throw something rancid out of my fridge I vow not to leave anything in there again for that long. I always do, though. Good reminder it’s time to clean out the fridge again.
