Be it paint, print, sculptures, antiques, tapestries, tattoos, crafts, or something totally different… let’s see that ART!

Last week I made an effort to visit every single person who commented on my PhotoHunt post, there were over 180 comments… Wow. I even visited some that didn’t comment here. How many ‘hosts’ would do that? Not many! I know I don’t visit you all every week but I just happen to have some free time. It was neat to see all the different ideas! Thanks to all who post, comment, etc. If you have any suggestions on how to make things better or improvements - lemme hear ‘em… =)

Welcome the new folks:

OK - I jjust got home and it’s 11pm so I’m really not late (LOL). This is me… and photography is a form of art I enjoy - along with digital imaging. However, I’m not the best at it. I really really wish I was better at it… and wish I could afford to make it more than just a random hobby.

Thank you for hosting this. It must be a lot of work for you. The only thing I would say is that it might be easier to use one of those autolinks on your site to link people directly to their Photo Hunt Post. Sometimes I have to search through a bunch of other posts to find the Hunt post.

Mines up, such as it is…

    TNChick replied:
    ____________________________
I don’t use the linky because it enforces links vs.comments and I don’t want the PhotoHunt to ever become something all about the links or traffic… it’s about people sharing an interest, taking and viewing photos, and commenting if they have time. I can only recommend, in my next post, that folks use the direct link to their photohunt post in the comments vs. the main URL to their blog. Maybe it’ll help. =) Thanks for the feedback.

  13. 15. Comment by Liz (43 comments.):

You do a fantastic job! Running the Photohunt and visiting so many. Thank you.

  14. 16. Comment by eija (27 comments.):

Well, I got loads of comments last week, too. Not anywhere near your numbers, but anyway :D It was so much fun reading the comments and then hopping over to see what people behind them had posted!

And I’m ashamed to notice that I forgot to comment your last week’s photos… But let’s say it here: I loved the sunset photo! The second one was really colourful - as it was supposed to :D - but the sunset one was truly beautiful! A perfect shot!

Mine’s up, but I won’t be visiting others until tomorrow. It’s past midnight in Finland and I’m exhausted!

Thanks for taking the time to visit everyone! That really was very generous of you! I enjoy this hunt so much and it has really helped me develop my photography skills. My art is up! I will be back to check your photo out!

  42. 45. Comment by Linda (31 comments.):

I know that I tend to post on Friday night but that’s mostly because I want to try to get a jumpstart on visiting as many blogs as I can between Friday and Saturday both. With all of that visiting to do, it just seems easier to publish the post early so I don’t have to worry about it in the morning and can sit down with a cup of coffee and happily “hunt” for great pictures!

Thank you so much for your visit and comment last week and, once again, thank you very much for hosting this. It really is a great opportunity to visit a lot of blogs I probably would never get to otherwise!

  43. 46. Comment by Amy (21 comments.):

  74. 77. Comment by Pastormac's Ann (92 comments.):

This is SUCH A COOL PICTURE! Wow.

  75. 78. Comment by A. (75 comments.):

That is amazing! I would love to be able to do even that!

  76. 79. Comment by eija (27 comments.):

Ok, back to see your photo - and what do you know… You answered my un-asked question I was pondering last night: What kind of camera do you use. Now I can see it’s a Canon Powershot :D

Digital imaging is really interesting, but I haven’t even started it because it would require so much time that I know I don’t have. So I settle for the “natural” shots, at the most adjusting only some lightness or sharpness. Well at Easter I did a cross thing, it became pretty startling :D

  77. 80. Comment by LibertyBelle (55 comments.):

That is so cool - You seem to have the Blues” *S*
    Happy weekend

  78. 81. Comment by Blur Mommy (8 comments.):

Mine’s up!! Love ur photo. May U know how u did that???

  79. 82. Comment by Mrs Lifecruiser (148 comments.):

Exactly, I was thinking all the time that photography is the best art actually. How cool isn’t that photo you took! *whistles*

But, I decided to show something different, since it’s kind of an upcoming event too. Kind of advertising for it, though I can’t go there myself!

  80. 83. Comment by Cuidado (17 comments.):

What a photo - very artistic!

  84. 87. Comment by YTSL (73 comments.):

Hi there, my “art” photo hunt entry is now up too! And yes, I appreciate your visit — and other photo hunters visits — to my blog the last time around and hope that you’ll visit again this week. :)

  85. 88. Comment by Imma (Alice) (11 comments.):

TNChick, that was nice that you were able to visit so many blogs last week… and it was one of the weeks that I had to miss, and I rarely miss, haha. Oh well, I’m here this week, and many of my ART photos are very COLORFUL, so it’s almost like a two in one deal. :o)

Everyone is invited to come on over and have a look!

  86. 89. Comment by julie (91 comments.):

Cool! :) Digital imaging is an art itself, not every one has the time and patience and talent to tinker with the programs involved with it.

Have a great weekend, TNChick! :)

  87. 90. Comment by roman (29 comments.):

That image reminds me of the movie Stir of Echoes when the guy sees the dead woman in weird flashes. Great shot.

  91. 94. Comment by Write From Karen (68 comments.):

Whoa, look at those fingernails! They’re LETHAL! Remind me never to tick you off. *grin*

I know what you mean about photography - I love it too but other than pointing and shooting, I’m not that great. *sigh* The hubs and I would love to take a photography class together but SHEESH! We’d have to mortgage a child in order to afford it and … and … that’s not a bad idea, actually. *wink*

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  92. 95. Comment by Karen (Pediascribe) (45 comments.):

Ok, that is so cool! My hubby was next to me and glanced over and said, “WHAT IS THAT?” ;) He was intrigued too.

Lovely work! I love your powershot IS3. You don’t need a better camera, yours works fine. Check out kenrockwell.com and read his reviews and articles. You can learn lots there! That and flickr by seeing which photographers have great work has helped me lots.

By far my most favorite photographer and friend on flickr.

This week at It’s A Blog Eat Blog World I did some photo-imaging on a picture I took of a morning glory to make it an “art” picture, and at Purrchance To Dream we took a photo of our kitty’s new prey and made it into a “souvenir” for her.

That was really artistic. I wish I could do that.

    Cool photo!

My digital camera just died! I am so bummed and I can’t afford to get a new one now either. Luckily I still have my Nikon 6006 that I bought years ago. It still works great. My camera phone works pretty well too. Now, that surprised me.

very neat effect!! You always do very cool things with your photography skills too, and your digital imaging knowledge. I choose those two as my forms of art this week too :)

Happy Saturday and how are you feeling. I will have to go back and read to see what you found out from your testing.
