MRI Results
came in last night. I haven’t discussed the results in great details with my doctor yet - but thought I’d post what I do know. In addition to arthritis of the spine - he diagnosed me with a disk bulge and degenerative disk disease. Not sure if either of those is why my body is slanted. I’m now awaiting an appointment with a neurologist. I don’t think it’s something extremely serious at this time - I don’t know… However, the pain I’ve had this past 10 days was more than serious - I didn’t think I was going to make it. Today I feel much better than I have the past week, so that’s itself is a blessing. So, that’s it for now. I appreciate all of you who’ve left comments over the past week, appreciate your prayers, thoughts, etc…

Disk bulge would definitely be a good reason for lopsidedness… sending new prayers! Glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better. I would definitely be consulting a chiropractor…

I hope they can do something for it to completely relieve your pain. You’re still in my prayers. Thanks for the update.

My degerative disk disease!! Man you just seem too young for such a thing!! Back pain is horrible. I have had a lot of it and I know how much it hurts. Sitting, standing or even laying down does not help. I hope that there is someway that does help you..some position. ARe you still in the same position? I so hate this for you being so young. Sandy

Awww…I’m really sorry for what you are feeling now. I just do hope I can do something to take it away from you. I know you don’t deserve it. I know prayers work so I’m doing that for you. Just keep us posted of yourself.

Thanks for letting everyone know! That picture was something because it definitely told a story!
I don’t presume to tell you what to do but I’d sure check out a chiropractor, too. A reputable one won’t touch you unless he can help.
You’re still in my prayers, too.
~~~Blessings~~~
Hey tnChick, I’m delurking here. Disc bulge will cause severe pain (usually into your buttock and down your leg but back and pelvic area as well.) Since MRIs are done on loads of people now, it’s pretty common to see some degen. disease, although you might have more wear and tear than most (horses?), but MRI reports almost always sound worse than they are. Rarely normal! Disc bulge rights itself in 90% of people within 6 weeks, usually sooner. Back pain is a bear and when you fully recover the best revention for recurrence is regular back exercises to strengthen those muscles, having your discs take less of the load. I hope this reassures you a bit. Pink Mohair (MD)
Hi TnChick, I missed Saturday’s photo hunt due to a friend returning to Germany. I am so sorry that your is going out like that it sounds (and looks) so painful. I have had back pain before and it was a misaligned pelvic bone but nothing was visibly out like in your photos. I will be lifting you up in prayer so you can regain your mobility ASAP.
Sorry you’re still feeling crummy. My brother in law had really bad back problems a couple years ago (in his early 30’s) and they said it was a bulging disc. He ended up having some surgery and it made a huge difference right away and the recovery was really fast.
Anyhow, I hope they do figure everything out soon.
So glad you are better. My husband used to get so twisted from his back problems (similar to yours). He is not one to complain so when he couldn’t get in his truck to drive, I knew he was hurting. He managed not to need surgery, and once he went back to physical work rather than sitting behind a desk that he hated, his back actually has given him very little trouble. He still twists or overdoes it a bit occasionally, but it has only flared a couple of time a little bit in two years now.
Hang in there, (well, you have been haven’t you!).
Glad to see it’s nothing too serious. Hope that the pain continues to decrease for you and things get back to normal. Take care and feel better!!
