So, it wasn’t a hard guess for many of you. Next time I’ll have to make the hint less obvious! I was going to get a new truck…. I drove home a F150 Super Crew but I took it back the next day… after much thought I decided to wait on it (gas mileage, etc)… and just get a car, instead. Almost bought a new Mustang but with two kids, I didn’t (no leg room and now my Dad is sad LOL). So… I got this:

It’ll be better for traveling East this year to visit my friend who is moving back to Tennessee!!! I am so happy about that. We were best friends in CA, both military families, and both were from TN… I moved back before her and she’s finally moving back next month (will be a few hours away but her husband is workin’ near Nashville).
In other news… my son got his report card today - straight Aces, as usual! I’m so stinkin’ happy about that - but most happy over no “check marks” for his behavior, still. Only one more six weeks (one more report card) for this school year. Wow.
Wednesday is coming soon… back to the dentist for me. Shouldn’t be too bad - other than comin’ off the drugs they will use to put me to sleep. My sweet man of mine took off Wed and Thurs.
I’ve not complained about the weather but man alive has is ever sucked lately! We had a couple weeks of excellent weather - the most perfect! Then, Winter arrived, again… it’s slowly warmin’ back up…
Oh… and I must plan a baby shower - any one have any super ideas?

- yeah, gas prices have been hiking. We are almost at $3 for regular unleaded *sigh*…Well, I guess I was off on my guess.

Congrats on the new car… it looks awesome!
As for ideas on baby showers I have lots. Make sure you get food the honoree will actually like to eat (especially if she is still sickly). For decorating you can make a diaper cake… this can be as easy or as complicated as you would like. It’s a nice gift and a great decoration. There are great directions on the internet.
A couple of other fun decorating ideas that I used to decorate with:
-Hang a clothes line (or any piece of string or twine) on the fireplace mantle (or other location) and ask the guest to bring a clothing item for the new baby. OR… ask the guests to bring a baby photo of themselves to hang on the clothesline. I did this at a shower last year and it was a great conversation piece. I mounted the pictures onto colored paper with photo corners and attached little cards that folded over where the person would put their name… allowing the other guests to guess who was in the picture.
-I also picked up several baby bottles to give the new parents and filled them with candy that matched my theme (blue and white in this case). I then got helium balloons and tied them to the bottles. They were a nice decoration and a gift at the same time.
